WeekShape Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 11, 2026  |  Shanghai VeloTract Information Technology Co., Ltd.  |  ios.feedback@velotract.com

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to WeekShape for iPhone, provided by Shanghai VeloTract Information Technology Co., Ltd. (上海轻引信息技术有限公司) ("we," "our," or "us"). It describes the intended iOS 1.0 data practices for WeekShape, which is not yet publicly available; a later release may update this policy.

2. Shift Data on Your Device

WeekShape stores your confirmed shifts, shift types, rotation patterns, reminders, settings, import history, and data used by its views and widgets in local app storage. WeekShape has no account system, does not upload your roster, and does not provide company-operated cloud sync.

Eligible local business data may be carried by iOS device backup, system restore, or Quick Start. These are Apple-managed device recovery paths, not WeekShape cloud sync, and WeekShape does not guarantee that every item will be backed up or restored.

3. Product Analytics and Telemetry

WeekShape does not collect or send product analytics, usage metrics, persistent analytics identifiers, crash reports, or tracking data to us or an analytics provider. The app does not use product data for advertising, cross-company tracking, or data-broker sharing.

4. Calendar and Roster Sources

If you choose a system Calendar source, WeekShape reads the calendar selected through iOS on your device. If you choose a local ICS file, WeekShape reads the file you select. These local reads do not cause WeekShape to contact the calendar or file provider.

If you choose a webcal connection, WeekShape sends a request only to the URL you provided and any host reached through an HTTPS redirect. Those hosts receive ordinary request data, including your IP address, and handle it under their own privacy policies. WeekShape does not control or promise how long they retain request data or server logs.

Source reads happen only when you select a source, reauthorize or reselect one, or actively choose to check a connected source for changes. WeekShape does not check sources in the background or automatically when the app opens. Candidate source content is kept only for the bounded local review session and is discarded when that session ends, is cancelled, or expires.

A secret webcal URL or credential stays in secure device-only storage. Non-secret connection state may be included in an iOS preferences backup. After a device restore or migration, you must explicitly reauthorize or reselect a source before WeekShape reads it again.

5. Purchases

The planned iOS 1.0 purchase is a single Lifetime unlock for later user-initiated checks of Calendar or webcal connections that already have a confirmed import. Apple processes the purchase and purchase restoration. WeekShape receives only the entitlement information needed to verify Lifetime access; Apple does not provide your payment-card credentials to WeekShape. Restoring a purchase verifies Lifetime access only—it does not restore shift data or start a source check.

6. Retention and Deletion

In WeekShape, Settings > Data > Delete All Data removes local shifts, rotation patterns, reminders, and source connections from the current device. A platform-verified Lifetime entitlement remains available. Temporary candidate content is discarded after its bounded source-review session ends, is cancelled, or expires.

Deleting local data or uninstalling WeekShape does not guarantee deletion of copies already held in an iOS backup or transferred to another device. Data recovered through an Apple-managed restore may return, but external sources must still be explicitly reauthorized or reselected. Copies you share through another app or save outside WeekShape are controlled by the destination you chose.

7. Your Choices

  • Enter shifts manually, use a rotation pattern, or select a system Calendar, local ICS file, or webcal source.
  • Grant, deny, or later change Calendar permission in iOS Settings.
  • Disconnect a source or choose when to check a connected source for changes.
  • Remove local app data through Settings > Data > Delete All Data.
  • There is no product analytics or telemetry switch because WeekShape does not send product analytics or telemetry.
